Bluesky
The Cloud Enablement Engine: Atmosphere, Citadel & Basecamp
Project Bluesky is your strategic journey from legacy IT to a cyber and cloud-native future. It is the Cloud Enablement Engine of our practice: an integrated ecosystem of Atmosphere (WAN & mobile), Citadel (converged LAN), and Basecamp HCI (edge and data center). Together they form the foundation for Zero Trust, modern connectivity, and scalable infrastructure.
Highlights
- Atmosphere: WAN, ISP, and LTE fabric with Zero Trust
- Citadel: Converged LAN for IT and Operational Technology
- Basecamp HCI: Datacenter, MDF/IDF, and edge computing
What we offer
Atmosphere (WAN)
The WAN, ISP, and LTE mobile fabric. Atmosphere replaces rigid legacy MPLS with a flexible, secure Zero Trust fabric that spans your internet providers and LTE/5G networks. It aggregates ISPs into a resilient SD-WAN, secures your mobile fleet, and provides Secure Web Gateway, Zero Trust remote access, and global DDoS mitigation, the invisible shield that connects your users to the cloud while securing the pipes that feed your buildings.
Citadel (LAN)
The converged LAN for IT and Operational Technology (OT). Citadel unifies your Local Area Network, switching and wireless, so business data and building systems run on one intelligent fabric. We integrate physical security (IP cameras, access control, HVAC, lighting), Smart Wi-Fi 6/6E, and Network Admission Control, with internal Zero Trust and full visibility so your facility is smart, secure, and responsive.
Basecamp HCI (Storage)
The datacenter, MDF/IDF, and edge computing foundation. Basecamp HCI is the compute and storage layer on your premise, in the data center or in wiring closets (MDF/IDF). Powered by Ceph and Proxmox VE, it delivers local data center hosting, edge storage for video and backups, and edge computing for AI/ML and IoT, so you get data sovereignty, low latency, and the raw power needed for modern workloads.
FAQ
What is Atmosphere and how does it replace legacy MPLS?
Atmosphere is the WAN, ISP, and LTE fabric layer of Project Bluesky. It aggregates multiple internet providers into a resilient SD-WAN overlay with Zero Trust security, replacing rigid MPLS with flexible, cost-effective connectivity.
Does Atmosphere include Secure Web Gateway and remote access?
Yes. Atmosphere provides Secure Web Gateway, Zero Trust Network Access for remote users, and global DDoS mitigation—securing the pipes that connect your sites to cloud services and each other.
Can Atmosphere secure mobile and LTE-connected sites?
Atmosphere extends Zero Trust policies to LTE and 5G-connected locations and mobile fleets, so branch offices, temporary sites, and field assets get the same security posture as fixed locations.
What is Citadel and how does it unify IT and OT networks?
Citadel is the converged LAN layer that runs business data and building systems—IP cameras, access control, HVAC, lighting—on one intelligent fabric with segmentation and visibility between IT and OT traffic.
Does Citadel support Wi-Fi 6/6E and Network Admission Control?
Yes. Citadel includes Smart Wi-Fi 6/6E deployment and Network Admission Control so only authorized devices connect, with internal Zero Trust policies enforcing least-privilege access on the LAN.
Can Citadel integrate with our existing physical security systems?
Citadel is designed to converge with IP-based physical security. We integrate cameras, access control, and building automation onto the same network fabric with proper OT segmentation and monitoring.
What is Basecamp HCI and where does it run?
Basecamp HCI is the on-premises compute and storage layer powered by Ceph and Proxmox VE. It runs in your data center or wiring closets (MDF/IDF) to deliver local hosting, edge storage, and edge compute with data sovereignty.
What workloads is Basecamp HCI suited for?
Local data center hosting, video storage and backup, AI/ML inference at the edge, IoT data processing, and any workload that benefits from low latency and keeping data on-premise rather than in public cloud.
How does Basecamp HCI connect to Atmosphere and Citadel?
Basecamp sits at the foundation of the Bluesky stack—Citadel LAN traffic and Atmosphere WAN connectivity both terminate at Basecamp nodes, creating an integrated path from edge compute through the LAN to the WAN and cloud.
